狗急加速器打不开了-outline
I am currently Senior Lecturer in the Public Understanding of Politics at the University of Sheffield.
My current research focuses on digital campaigning and the role of technology in democracies. I am interested in how digital is being used in elections and what consequences these practices have for democracy. I am also particularly interested in political advertising, micro-targeting and transparency. Connected to this research, I recently served as Special Advisor to the House of Lords Select Committee on Democracy and Digital Technologies.
My previous research has looked at public attitudes towards political parties. This informed my book The Reimagined Party, published in June 2024. You can find a video of me talking about the book here.
In recognition of my work, I have recently been awarded the 2024 Political Studies Association's Richard Rose Prize for an early-career scholar who has made a distinctive contribution to British politics.
As someone interested in the public understanding of politics I am always keen to work with different audiences. Partnerships with academic and non-academic organisations are a key part of my work and I'm always keen to hear from new people. I also have a range of radio and television experience and have featured on BBC Radio 4 Today Programme, BBC News, BBC Radio 5Live, France 24, ITV Calendar, BBC Radio Wales and have written for The Guardian and the New Statesman. Do please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.
